Erica

I have been hooping for roughly six years, most of which has been self-taught after attending an initial hoop dance course back in California. Since then I have explored different types of hooping, from hoop-hop to twin hoops to circus styles. I have performed at Mountain Runner events in Cape Town and began teaching a beginner hoop series in Stellenbosch this year.

Bring it on Back

This workshop is all about bringing it back, with behind the back variations! It will cover behind the back tosses, isolations, jump throughs and more. We will also cover transitions to help make your behind the back flow be silky smooth. This workshop will have a range of tricks, so that hoopers of all levels can join in and learn new fun ways to move with the hoop.

Sian

Sian has been hooping for 3 and a half years and is mostly self taught. Sian started Hulamotion in 2016 out of her love for Hooping and the will to share the Hoop love far and wide. She has since taught Hoop classes and workshops from beginner to intermediate and has done some entertainment gigs in Cape Town and Plettenberg Bay for Plett Rage.

Transitions – Finding your flow!

As hoopers we often struggle to find our flow and go from one move to another or get stuck doing the same few moves in the same order. Let’s find our flow with the many different transitions I’ll be sharing with you. Lets explore how one simple move can have endless possibilities.

Sandy-Dee

March 2018 marks a decade of hooping for me. I have flowed and grown, stagnated and been frustrated, I have laughed and cried. After 10 years I love the hooper that I am, I strive to grow all the time but only if i’m having fun doing it. I have been teaching hoop since 2011 and can’t imagine not teaching, it’s my passion. I am a certified One Hoop One Love teacher trained by Shakti Sunfire, I have attended Emma Kenna’s workshop and all the Fiery Pixies workshops. It is an honour to share what I know with you.

That’s a Wrap!

From butt wraps to hoop hugs, continual wraps, arm wraps and all the transitions, it’s all about the contact baby! Absolutely no experience required. This fun workshops brings awareness to the contact points between your body and your hoop and how to use these to wrap and fold into cool moves.

Basil

I have been a hooper for about five years. While I am may not be at the Instagram hoopstar level, my method of teaching and ability to breakdown moves or tricks into easy to follow steps is my greatest strength. Hooping, at first, taught me to let go of a lot of stuff that was weighing me down. Now, hooping is making me strive to be a better teacher. My greatest hope within this is to share in the accomplishments and joys of people as they learn that nothing is impossible, in hooping and in life.

Rolling Rolling Rolling!

Body rolls have taken on new life recently with international hoopers finding new “runways” that the hoop can follow across their bodies. This workshop is built on that idea: exploring the lines and curves of your body that the hoop can follow. We’ll start with the basic chest roll, move through transitions into and out of various rolls and incorporate drills to smooth your placement and control.

Danny

Danny’s beautiful energy and positively wild charisma makes learning from him ridiculous amounts of fun. He was also nominated for the 2017 Hoopie Awards under the African Hooper of the year category and a well-deserved nomination it was. He has since incorporated all his dancing and rhythmic moves into a Hoop dance program which he’ll be taking to Asia later this year where he’ll be travelling and teaching and continuing his hoop journey of inspiring others through his passion and love for HoopDance

Come and ghost it up! You won’t be disappointed.

Ghosting it UP!

You can expect everything from beginner to advance ghosting techniques. We will be focusing on a variation of transitions into and out of ghosting and to top things off, we will incorporate everything into our individual flow / hoopdance.
